Joe Taufete’e is amongst the nominees for world player of the year!

“JOE TAUFETE’E (USA)
The Eagles hooker has enjoyed a record-breaking year in international rugby, his hat-trick against Uruguay in March making him the most prolific try-scorer in front-row history – 18 tries in just 21 tests smashing Keith Wood’s record that had stood for nearly 14 years in a third of the caps. Taufete’e ended the Americas Rugby Championship as the top try scorer with six and was a key member of the Eagles’ squad for RWC 2019, starting all four matches in Japan.”

So why can’t we get him to perform for us?

Coaching?

Style?

Premiership Survival Pressure (PSP)

JP, for me the answer is simple. It is his darts. If he could throw into the lineout better then he would start for us. Until he does then he is quite rightly behind Niall.

Agree to some extent Offa

If he is so bad then why does he get it right for USA on a regular basis.

The coaches need to find out what the jumpers can change to help him get it right he can't be the only wrong cog in the wheel.

He is a great carrier and if his confidence was improved he would be a killer carrier

Does he get it right for the USA or is he just scoring tries.

Nonetheless, congratulations to him. Quite an honour being listed.
