He said: “Last year the key decision makers were all under-17s and since then they’ve developed physically, which is huge credit to Joe in the strength and conditioning department.

“Their decision-making has improved significantly and we’re stronger physically this year. The younger guys have stepped up to the mark after seeing the work done by the senior members of the squad, and that’s created a really good environment at Sixways.”

Centre Harry Spencer was the catalyst for Warriors’ four-try triumph as he crossed the whitewash for a well-earned hat-trick, with Ross labelling him as the ‘unsung hero’ of the group.

“For me Harry is an unsung hero and does so much work off the ball,” said Ross.

Sorry JP only just read this thread. Yea he’s very good, he’s hard to describe to be honest...he’s a gangly kind of player, but he can break the line and offload really well. There’s another kid called Seb Atkinson who plays inside centre that is good too. I mentioned the other day we have another crop coming through, but I like Spencer, I think he’s just slightly been over shadowed by the main stand out guys this year like Jack Forsythe. To be honest Jack is the one I’m most excited about. I think he’s brilliant and I’d mention him in the same vain as Ted Hill and Ollie Lawrence when they became apparent. Finn Smith is just as exciting too and I can definitely see those two in the senior academy next year, but there are a few more lads in the academy that have potential too. There’s a loosehead prop who’s name I’ve forgotten that has great hands and vision.

I think 4 of the group have been called up to England U18’s recently so that says good things about them

As for potential first team players I’d definitely say Forsythe is nailed on. Finn Smith too.
