Clubs won't agree to getting rid of their academies surely

They are RFU academies which they subsidise, select and pay the manager.

So not the clubs choice and the clubs might do it just to get ringfencing through

No chance the clubs will vote to get rid of academies where a draft system would see the worst clubs benefit.

In the end we’ll probably end up with something sort of like the proposal with bits missing.

If this goes ahead where might the six regional academies be? Newcastle and Sale look certain and one in London however a bit of a fight in the East Midlands and the South West!

I think it will be 2 in London/SE, 2 in Midlands, 1 SW and 1 NW

why would there be a fight?
With a draft wouldn't matter one bit where the academies are.

I guess they will just go to the uni's with the biggest spread and best facilities.
(As it's proposing that the Uni's and Championship run them not the prem clubs).

For example Loughborough would most likely be one and they would most likely be paired with Nottingham and Coventry in these proposals.
