Both bodies have launched investigations into allegations of drugs, violence and a cover-up involving former England player Sam Burgess, officials said earlier today.

Burgess, through his lawyer, has denied the claims, which included the need for a liquid tranquiliser after a drug-fuelled binge, testing positive for MDMA and ketamine, and violence against his former wife during his years with the Russell Crowe-owned club.

However, he immediately stood down from his roles as a Rabbitohs coach and television commentator.


Looks like he might have been a very naughty boy - but not proven.
