According to WalesOnline article the Blues are on the verge of signing Nick Tompkins. Would be a great signing but I feel we need to bring in more front 5 players!

Other than additional funding from WRU, not a position we really need and will hardly see him most of the year through internationals.

Only worth it if we've already sorted the positions we actually need to strengthen.

According to the Rugby paper, he's got 2years of is contract lefted and he will be loaned out for a season to the Blues and then return to Saracens. They are doing that to a number of their players.

Whats being said elsewhere, is that theres a long term deal for him, we're just negotiating on the best way to get him out of his Saracens deal. Initially doing it via a loan could be a way of delaying or reducing payment of a transfer fee.

Won't be surprised if we end up doing similar with Carre.

If we pull off signings that include Tompkins, Carre, Sam Moore, Luke Scully, as well as rumoured signings in Cory Hill, a SA second row, another 8 and a hooker this season, I would be very pleased!!!
