Just had a look at their website, quite an impressive list of sponsors. Only to be expected in a tax haven I suppose.
Is the 'Stade Santander' as good as it sounds, can anyone say?

Apparently the only seating is reserved for Jersey members, so probably not.

I'll be tuned in to Radio Cornwall who apparently are once again relaying the Jersey Radio commentary. I wonder if the usual Jersey commentators will be there again!!!!!! Hopefully 4pts can be secured with 5 being a real coup over there. Reckon it'll be a dour forward battle after all the rain and looking at the squads the coaches certainly seem to expecting a battle up front.

An absolutely gorgeous Spring morning in St Ouen - walking the spaniels without a coat must be a first this year - it should be perfect conditions for a fast open game of rugby this afternoon way down South in St Peter.

Jersey have only conceded two tries at home this season, so it'll be a tough contest. We know the boys will give it 100% and that's all we can ask.

The covered seats are reserved for debenture ticket holders, committee etc but there are several rows of "bleacher" seats on the airport side opposite the clubhouse which are usually available. If the sun stays out use high factor sun oil if you nab one as they face due south.

Great result for the Pirates 23-10 as they win in Jersey for the first time in a number of years.
It sounded like a very professional performance to come back from 10-0 down to dominate the 2nd half making good use of the wind advantage. There was some superb defence in the closing minutes to drive a Jersey 5M lineout into touch and we kept our composure in injury time to score and deny them a losing bonus point.
A safe journey back to the squad and lets get a big crowd down to the Mennaye for next weeks game against Bedford.

Probably the most significant result and yardstick as to how we are progressing.

Several of our recent results have been against relatively poor opposition but this sounded on Jersey Radio like some very assured defence and control against a pretty good team. Great win!

Agree with Steve, this was a big game for this squad and they've done us proud. They will enjoy this one.

Pirates totally deserved this. Reds' defence was pretty good, esp in first half, but the Pirates kept hammering away and once they crossed the line after 55ish mins they were mainly in control, in spite of some late anxiety as the Reds got into their 22 in added time, but the Pirates always seemed to have the ability to disrupt and force errors from their opponents. Home side a little aggrieved to lose their BP in last play, but them's the breaks. Well played Pirates and I think you'll take some beating in the race for 2nd.

ps the wind wasn't a factor today, there was hardly any - 90% of days here are windier, often much more so! Gorgeous day for rugby

Good day all round— both the Pirate Amateurs and London Cornish won.

Pirates were better than good today lads and in the second half they were top draw. Jersey never got a look in after the break - see you in Penzance at Easter. Shame the players didn't get to stay over to enjoy the result.

I've just finished watching the highlights on YouTube. Rather impressed by how the Pirates conducted themselves. Defensively they looked sound, the boot of Will Cargill was very good and we scored two really well worked tries. For me, this result just shows how far we have come this season. We are making great strides forward. Everyone connected with the club should be really proud of the effort they've put in so far.
