Welcome back Paddy.
Young player with loads of potential, should we ever get this season going then I expect to see Paddy make rapid progress. Good News in dark times.

Hope this means that as we've signed another player the Championship 20/21 season might be starting at some point in the forseeable future. Why would we sign a player and pay more wages if we're not going to play matches?

Who knows if and when the season will start. The second spike is definitely with us and it's hard to see matches, with or without spectators, starting any time soon. But this signing shows the commitment of Dicky and his team to keep things going, at least for the time being.

Nice to see Paddy re-sign and like One and All looking forward to some date when things can hopefully get started. Wonder if there will be a ring fence then to stop anyone going up!!!

Not while Sarries are in The Championship.

Should the Championship get cancelled this season the Premiership Cartel will create a13 team league and then ring fence. The weak RFU will just back off.

Then Sarries would get off without a punishment - surely even the RFU couldn't get away with that.

The RFU are a weak organisation. The Premiership Cartel are stronger and will make the case Saracens have taken their punishment with a fine and missing this season in the league. All three pundits Chris Jones Danny Care and Ugo Monye predicted this outcome on last weeks BBC Rugby Pod.

I agree with Bill. In fact it wasn't the RFU that did anything about the Saracens but the other Premiership clubs in the PRL who were in no position to compete.

I think the world is moving on from worrying unduly about Premiership ring fencing as the big clubs are losing pots of money and several could go out of business if proper crowds are forbidden for many more months. This just might offer the Pirates and Ealings of this world - if they can just hold it together - an opportunity even without a new stadium.

Pie in the sky? Maybe. We live in strange times!

What do you think OPS, or anyone else, if a Prem club really did go bust? Would the other cartel members step in to save it? Would that club re-emerge as a 'phoenix' club, and suffer relegation as a result?
And the big question, would the Pirates (or Ealing) really want to gain promotion in that manner?
As you say Steve, strange times indeed!

I reckon, given a chance, you wouldn't turn it down. Depends on the finances I suppose.

Starting the Stadium4Cornwall is more important long term than spending enormous sums of money we do not have on players to compete in Premiership.
