As a fan of long standing, back to 1962, I miss a lot owing to living far North -- almost in Cumbria. I get to just 1 or 2 Cov matches per season.

This season I've very much missed the regular short interviews with RW, the coaches and players. News releases and match reports just aren't the same. They don't convey inside views about how the squad is evolving, and I feel cut off about movements of players in and out of the squad, their injuries, etc.

This sounds like a moan but really it isn't. I'm very encouraged by our form so far this season, but wonder whether others agree that we'd benefit from better communication from the club.

No, you make a fair point.
Not sure how much time Chris has for this sort of thing, but it would be nice for those further afield, as you say.

They had some early in the season conducted by a younger chap (off camera so not sure who it was) where I thought the interviewees looked more relaxed and communicative. Shame they didn't continue them with whoever it was.

Have you looked at the club Facebook site?

Thanks so much for the tip. I didn't know about the Facebook output and have enjoyed watching a set of recent player interviews.

Wishing for a good showing tomorrow!

So that's where they've been hiding !
Any reason they couldn't appear on Twitter as well, which I'm guessing (could be wrong) is the preferred social media outlet these days.

A couple of things to tick off here - firstly to thank you for your interest!

I've been trying to balance output between all of our various channels, primarily because I've had a fewer number of people generating content compared to this time last year. I've been in the process of recruiting a number of interns who will be starting towards the end of the month, so the amount of content should increase accordingly.

In the meantime there will be an update from Rowland next week reflecting on the first 9 weeks of the season, which will be on the website.

Chris, dare I ask if Rowland has any plans to hold a Fansí Forum in the near future. They have extremely well received in the past.

We don't have a date in the diary at the moment. We do know they are popular, however, so will look to get one sorted in due course
