Team's up: PARFC Offy

Weather looks pretty grim for tomorrow afternoon. A different game plan to last week's open play, doubtless. Even if the rain clears early, I can't see the pitch being in a great state... (Sm136)

Come cheer up, my lads - 'tis to glory we steer!

Different weather yes, but pretty much the same team selected.

Only changes seem to be Skelcey selected over Powell, and no Raumakita or Setter on the bench.

Should be a good game, here's hoping for another five pointer.

Unfortunately, I wasn't at the game. Seemed close at the end on Twitter but what are the reflections of those of you who were there? A home loss... Again, no match preview comments from Ben G.

What was the score?

Some sites - including Albion's twitter feed - suggests that we list 19-26.

However others (including rfu.com) indicate that it was 21-26.

Which is correct?

19 -26,probably one of the worst games for a fair while we struggled to put two or three phases together without knocking on or giving away a penalty.
Our defence this season is just about non existent, have a look at points against, what is it 323 in eight games.

Agreed, lobina.

How on earth, at home and on the back of a comfortable win last week, did WE manage to look like a side that had just spent 7 hours on a coach? Admittedly, poor play overall and 2 rolling mauls straight out of the Dawsie playbook (touched down by the hooker, to boot) did nothing for our morale. I'm not even sure what brought us back to life in the final quarter, but it certainly saved us some blushes at the whistle and in the league table.

And how did the abacus operator arrive at 970-odd for the gate? Left the ground promptly wondering whether we'd had too much feel good before lunch. An afternoon to file and forget.

Big shake up needed for the trip to Cambridge...

Come cheer up, my lads - 'tis to glory we steer!

The match reports are out

Albion's report highlights our "flat" and error ridden performance for most of the game.

Blackheath's (naturally enough) discusses their good play and the last minute jitters as Albion suddenly started playing and scoring

Incredibly disappointing to watch on Saturday, the boys lacked desire and energy which as a paying supporter isnt a great advert.
Really starting to think the loss of Matt and Fraser has hurt us they are both in red hot form across the border and making a huge difference to Redruth, Albi should have fought harder to keep them both

Just checked the Nat2 South table:

NCA

It appears that Matt and Fraser's input isn't quite as impressive as Jack Arnott's at Taunton... Dare we hope for a derby game less than 2 days' camel trek from home?

A local derby would be something to look forward to.
I can't see us getting promoted in the near future, even a top six is looking doubtful.
