So a big bonjour to one and all.
I thought it might be helpful to post some details for tomorrow's match as a Franco-British La Rochelle supporter who's lived in the city for 15 years.
Someone's already posted a message asking for tips on getting to the ground.
If it's tipping it down, make your way to Place de Verdun which is where the city bus station is located. Jump on the number 6 (you can pay on the bus, €1.30 so try to have the right change or else everyone will start muttering ooh, la la). It's about 15 minutes. Incidentally, I know you'll all be down at General Humberts on Rue St Nicolas but the old market is a great place to hang out pre-match too. Loads of typical little French bars like the Alcazar (my favourite) and not far from Place Verdun (5 mins on foot).
But by far the best option is to make your way to the old port and just follow the coast (to the right i.e. northwards). After about 20 mins, you'll pass the Casino and then a nice little bar called La Corniche which is right on the sea. They sometimes have live music on match days. Keep going until you reach the first roundabout and then it's a right turn up Avenue du Maréchal Juin. But you can't miss this route since loads of fans will be walking that way. So, that's the scenic route on foot and it's roughly 30-40 mins to the stadium depending on how long you stop at La Corniche bien sűr ! Enjoy the game. I was in the stadium for the La Rochelle v Exeter match in 2014 (a painful memory) and the Exeter supporters definitely added to the atmosphere. Hopefully, we'll put up more of a fight this time although we're not playing our best rugby at the moment to put it mildly. Bon week-end!

I didn't travel to La Rochelle but thank you for taking the time to visit our site to add your tips.
Although we played well it must be said your last paragraph was very true yesterday.
A few costly errors from you, especially the overthrown pass into the stand behind the posts first half!
Much like us you have had an indifferent start to the season by your high standards.

Just comparing the two leagues, obviously the Top 14 have already played 9 league matches (compared to 4 here) so with the world cup absentees missing things have been a bit topsy turvy for you and Lyon and Bordeaux have certainly taken advantage in your league!

Good luck for the rest of the season (apart from at Sandy Park)
