Apart from beating Coventry the miserable season trundles towards an end - the derby match ends in a 56-16 win for the North Wales Crusaders. One game to go in what has been a very disappointing campaign.

One game left....

The problem is WWR have one game to go - the main bulk of the other clubs have 2 more, after tomorrow.
It is the worst possible fixture for WWR.
Whitehaven will be hosting their last home game with the hope, and enticement,of winning the League 1 title and automatic promotion.
Whatever their result at Keighley tomorrow it will be very important for them to win next week.

Who knows what the plan is for WWR in 2020?

After the home win against Coventry I like others felt pleased and relieved, however three consecutive thumpings two of them at home have brought the reality of the situation home. What are the plans for 2020?

Well it is good news that the squad is becoming more "Welsh" - but can the home grown players cut the mustard? The gap between ourselves and Coventry and the rest is widening. Cov were hammered at the weekend by Newcastle.

Hopefully 2020 will be better - and some positives on here would be good from those linked with the club.

Any chance?

Coventry conceded 88 points at Newcastle. The highest points total conceded in a League 1 game, this year.

Double the total WWR scored against them in the only victory for WWR this campaign.

Kim Williams has 2 years left at the club and still operates without an assistant.

It may be a good idea to have some continuity planned so someone can follow in a smooth transition.

If not the club will appoint someone totally new and any progress will be lost.

This,of course, happened at the last club where Kim Williams was head coach

Central Queensland Capras - Appoint New Head Coach

The club didn't quite have the best coaching in 2018.

Also, there may not be much of a rush from outside when the position becomes vacant.
