Looks a strong side let's hope we can beat the bogey team.

A little pedantic perhaps but why does this Bedford v Nottingham related post come with a picture of two Leicester Tiger players tackling what looks like a 2014 New Zealand Maori?

To confuse the opposition.

Looks like it's going to be a very long season.

Lose to Ealing away next week and we'll probably be mathematically out of the cup with two group games to spare. If that does happen (hardly an unlikely scenario), will be interesting to see how we approach those two games, even though they're against our local rivals.

According to the match report, 4 players in the backs today got injured, including Hooley and Adamson. Wouldn't be surprised if Lennon may have to play on the wing from the start next week.

We've had disappointing seasons recently as well as very good ones. What really worries me though, is the appalling record we have in attack this season. Previously, even if we lost a lot of games, we'd still score a fair amount of points. The problem instead would be in defence.

This season, only 2 times in 9 have we scored more than 20 points and 3 times three tries or more. The two times we scored more than 20, one was against Yorkshire Carnegie and the other against Ealing but after the game was long gone. Take out the Yorkshire match from the league games, and we barely average double figures for points scored.

I know the weather played a big role for the two league home games in keeping scores low, but from those who've seen Blues play multiple times in competitive games this year, are we looking far less sharp in attack?

I think it’s time for the changing of the guard....

What an awful result. Maybe the club need to look at spending money and contract players who are up to the job or I feel we maybe playing a division lower next season. For to long Bedford have been able to punch above their weight but the club are to intent on keeping finances in order that they don't look at the bigger picture. If Bedford keep losing games, a lot of supporters will find their way to Ampthill unfortunately. Complete shake up required.
This is going to be a bad season

Why would supporters go to Ampthill? As LB says only one place has the Blues available.
Crowds may well drop with the poor results but that will be people staying at home not switching teams.

Yep, will b**tch and moan but wouldn't 'support' another club. I'd go watch other clubs but with any great regularity.

The unlucky blue kit strikes again!

Sorry to shock the diehard supporters amongst you but, though Blues have been my preferred team for over fifty years, I enjoy watching winning rugby. Despite living within half a mile of GR, I regularly travelled to Ampthill last season to watch exhilarating wins and would do so again this season if they were offering better enjoyment than the dire fare Blues are serving up at present. I understand that for some, loyalty to the Blues is, and will always be, as constant as the Northern star, but for me, I pay my money to enjoy myself and to come away happy and exhilarated not depressed and dispirited. I doubt if I am entirely alone in this.

Obviously not as blue as the name suggests, but good luck to you, nice to see someone voting with their feet. There are a number of options to watching the blues if you are prepared to travel.

Good post GB, you are right the last 3 seasons have been very good I think we finished 3rd in each one. Prior to that we had a poor one but, as you say picked up a lot of points, quite a lot of LB's. I also think there were a couple of other teams that were probably worse than us that season and I think we ended up halfway. As you say this year is different (so far) in terms of points scored but we are only 6 games in. However the next 6 look fairly ominous, but 4 of them are at home.

Agreeing with the sentiment of the postings....the ‘voting with their feet’ has been the theme for many season’s......there are more Blues Fans away from the game on match day than watching....we have a good attendance record but how often do you hear people say .....’I used to go but.....’

Re: Team for Nottingham

TBH never. We have one of the best attendances in the Championship, how many falcons fans were at GR the other week how many blues fans will be up there? However I think Garlick is right if we don't start winning soon attendances will drop off, having said that we will still be one of the best supported sides in the league.
