As I mentioned in a diffferent thread, the 8 drunken males standing in front of me making a noise when kicks were being taken were Wuss fans - either that or Falcons fans who'd decided to wear Wuss shirts - so please get your own house in order before having a go at others.
As Monkey said, the only ground where silence during kicks is sacrosanct is Franklins Gardens. I find that our fans, and I don't agree with it, are noisy following dodgy decisions such as the awarding of the Wuss try and a similar decision during the Bath game last season when we were accused of heckling George Ford.

it seems odd that we gave Ford a hard time - and it was bad for that kick - bearing in mind he didn't give the decision.

but generally the KP crowd is quiet and people actually shush talkers

I think maybe the Worcester fans need to spend a bit more time trying to sort their problems out and less time trying to abuse the Newcastle ones on here. Though Inappreciate that posting on our page probably gives some gentle relief.
Being based near Oxford I spend most of my time at Falcons away games. I don't agree with shouting during a kick but it is common place internationally in terms of trying to put the kicker off and Inhave experienced it at Worcester, Bath, Bristol, Wasps, Leicester,Saints, Quinn's and Exeter. it's just happens. It is however satisfying to know that the thrashing we have Warriors is still a sore point. Maybe they just need to be better?

As a side note on this issue - people booing because they think that a decision is wrong really make me laugh. In my experience those booing the loudest don't actually understand the laws. They also seem to think that their view of any piece of controversial action is perfect, especially compared with a TMO sitting in a truck who has access to multiple views, slowmo etc.

If you want to experience crowd behaviour at it worst then join me in Bordeaux for the Begle game next month. Mind, the French also make noise during their own kicks. It's a Gallic thing.

Haha, there was a group of 5 of us there on Friday night. The eldest of the party took his usual spot in the lower part of the South Stand at about the 15 metre line in the part nearest the West Stand.

I quickly disabused him of this postioning because there is a proper loud mouthed idiot who just tears into the ref no matter what. Oddly enough going 10 steps back meant we couldnt hear the idiot.

Oh I don't know. I heard a story about a game at Welford Road, where a Leicester fan told an away player to be quiet as his own teammate was taking a kick!

To be fair, Welford Road is quiet all the time, not just for kicks.

From the commentary of this week's Leicester v Bath game:

"The crowd are very subdued today."
"They're just shocked into silence at the sight of grass on the pitch."

That made ma chuckle.

Watching the highlights. I noticed audible booing as Hodgson went for his conversion. Fine with me but there was a lot of talk on here the other week about ‘us’ booing a conversion and how much of a poor show it was.
I think people had blamed part time supporters and ‘football’ people being at the match (amongst other things).

Goes to show that it happens everywhere and not just us Northern luddities.

Arrggghh - this has posted onto the wrong thread, sorry!

I think this is where you meant it to go Barrington.

Poor Dicky G would have been groaning as well with the bath fella on the mike who was also doing the barf equivalent of make some noise.

I noticed the same watching the highlights. It's ironic how we are specifically criticised about both our announcer and our crowd noise during kicks, when other clubs clearly partake in similar behaviour. I'd encourage any opposition fans that think we are the worst for the crowd noise during kicks to listen to our last conversion to give us the lead. Audible shouting and boos to try and put off Hodgson. Give me a break!

The Bath announcer was annoying but at least he was encouraging the fans when play stopped.

We were right next to a speaker and the guy has such a nasal and high pitched voice that it was physically uncomfortable. The stadium was very quiet though, especially in the first half.

When he announced the teams before kick off I could've sworn he had chronic constipation which he was trying to remedy.

Kingston Park is a fine place to watch rugby. Silence for opposition kicks is generally good, with anybody who crosses some sort of unspoken noise boundary being shushed, and scores by the opposition are still applauded, not something that happens at all grounds. If the crowd gets on a soap box following a poor looking decision then it needs to be put into context, as generally it is a very sporting place to play rugby.
