O’Connor sacked by Tigers
Why bother giving him a pre season and a summer to recruit players then sack him after 1 game? Incredible! If change was needed they should have done so last season and gave the new coach/DOR time to assess the squad etc

I have just read the news and my first thought was that we should beware of the wounded tiger. Having been trounced by Exeter on Saturday and now hoping for the
"new manager bounce".

Cripes the Club is becoming more and more like a Wendy ball outfit

Very surprised he kept his role after tigers missing the play offs for the first time since their inception. They were also (by their standards) pretty woeful in Europe.

Murphy is the sort of character the team can play for. They have a grudge against us, but we have got the monkey of our back too. Should be a good tight game as Tigers will be well up for it at home but short on confidence.

Totally bizarre, I can't see the thinking in this at all.

Given how competitive the league is, it is historical arrogance for Leicester Tigers expect to be in the play offs given the dominance on the pitch of Exeter and Saracens and the financial clout of Wasps. That only leaves one slot for a group of very competitive teams to fight for. Great play, absolute commitment and a helping of luck got us in there last year.
Leicester aren’t playing badly , their competition in the league is simply better.
Sacking a coach is always the easy way out of a situation like theirs as it masks , albeit briefly the more fundamental and deeper rooted issues at a club.
Leicester are a great team, great supporters and a revenue stream we can only dream of. They will pick themselves up , by a maybe not this year

Very strange timing but adds some more spice for Saturday

I find the timing most odd. Either do it at the end of last season and give a new coach a preseason to work with the players or at least give him some time to sort things out. I think it makes it even tougher for us next week but I'm hopeful

Seems MoC was late coming back from Oz for the start of the pre season and missed half of it, whether that was part of it, who knows.
