Sarrie's Quiz

Just something to pass the time. Why do Sarrie's supporters make that gesture with their outstretched hands when a kick at goal is being taken? No prizes, but I shall post the answer on Friday.

Those of us who support Sarries and know the answer will of course abstain!

Small clue - it dates back to the time when your team and ours were having a wonderful battle for the title, which you guys just pipped us to.

Well this one fell on stony ground didn't it? For those interested, the answer lies in the comic magician Tommy Cooper who died (On stage) in 1984. He wore a fez for his act and after a trick held out his fluttering hands and intoned "Just like that" as a suggestion that it had been very easy. I wonder how many younger Fezzies know this?

I once suggested in my matchday programme column that the Falconista equivalent would be for us to sport flat caps with cigarettes dangljng from our lips in tribute to the late Bobby Thomson. It didn't catch on.
