Not sure how this makes sense for a club that is supposedly owned by thousands of supporters & is under the control of nobody in particular, but I am sure we will be enlightened as time marches on.

My understanding is that Peter Tom and Tom Scott own over 50% of the shares.Therefore buying those two out would give a controlling interest. I understand rightly or wrongly that if 30% of shares are bought, then by law, the buyer has to offer the rest of the shareholders the right to sell at the same price. I could however be totally wrong - not an area in which I have ever dipped my toe into the water
