I have just spotted that Joel Matavesi is playing for Yorkshire Carnegie today. Is he out on loan or is this just a one off?

What do the championship rules say about him then potentially playing for us against them?

What other players are we lending out?

All info welcome.

Hi, Joel Matavesi and Guy Graham are being loaned out to Yorkshire Carnegie, they've already both played for them.

At Carnegie we are (more than) desperate to get a team out.
However, I think that there is something wrong with D/R players crossing between teams in the same division.
This is not a one-off: Bristol had several players floating about other clubs in their (numerous) Championship years and Irish did so last season.
In general D/R distorts the Championship and theoretically could decide who gets relegated, especially last season with Hartpury aka Gloucester reserves suddenly getting a spurt on at the end of the season.
But D/R in the same division is logically wrong: if a club in the Championship wants to give players Championship experience - just pick them.
I know that if D/R was abolished tomorrow we could not put out a team but nevertheless these are my feelings.
