What's happened GF?

We're flying from Glasgow and they changed the times but not by anything drastic. Not heard anything since.

Oh dear, that's not good, especially for the employees. Hope they get themselves sorted, always had a soft spot for Flybe.

We are booked on the Friday/Monday so I am watching the news slightly panicking.

I have two alternatives lined up in case but partly depends how tied in with Flybe the Jersey airline Blue Islands leg from Southampton is. It says they are independent but "franchise partners".
Should get money back via credit card if worst comes to the worst but don't want to lose the hotel so must try and get there.

I'm beginning to think its me as we were booked for Norway in June and BMI went bust so we had to go EZJet the long way round by Amsterdam.

Not really sure how we would get there if the worst came to the worst. Coming back on easyjet so no issue there, just hopefully there will be alternatives to get there.

Having said that problems getting to a rugby match is insignificant compared to what the 2,000 employees are going through.

The train is also being a bit awkward in getting to an airport as King's Cross is closed at the weekend and LNER hasn't released Advanced tickets for Friday and Monday as well.

An agreement has been reached between the government and Flybe to rescue the regional carrier.

Business secretary Andrea Leadsom tweeted on Tuesday evening to say: “Delighted that we have reached agreement with Flybe’s shareholders to keep the company operating, ensuring that U.K. regions remain connected.

“This will be welcome news for Flybe’s staff, customers and creditors and we will continue the hard work to ensure a sustainable future.”

Shareholders have agreed to put more money into the airline, Europe’s largest regional carrier with a fleet of 75 aircraft, according to the BBC.

Details of the rescue plan are yet to be officially released but are understood to avoid a breach of EU state aid rules.

It had been reported that Flybe, owned by a consortium including Virgin Atlantic, Stobart Group and Cyrus Capital faced a last-minute survival bid.

Great news that the taxpayers are giving a load of money so that Fly-Be can carry on making loan repayments at eye-watering interest rates to Beardie, the people who rip fortunes out of the Stobart haulage business, and a hedge fund.
