Does anyone have any inside or logical information about the timing of this away game Fri, Sat or Sunday ?

Nope and it won't be finalised until after December's Euro matches are complete. Doesn't give Agen much time to get tickets out. We have booked for the Friday and Saturday nights but leaving the flight bookings until a day is chosen. Alledgedly held for TV to decide but as the Challenge isn't shown here it must be French TV.

Steve,
It's a good excuse for a Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon trip. That's what I'm planning.

Its worth it.
If you are a foodie, go to the AUBERGE LE PRIEURE at Moirax [3-4 miles outside the city], and Monsieur Jeannot which is in central Agen, an easy walk from the station.

Cheers for that. I'll definately take a look at these. Hoping to sort out Bordeaux this weekend. Hopefully I can find some decent red wine there.

You could probably get a Sunday evening flight back. Can't imagine the match starting too late if it is on the Sunday.

Toulouse airport is 50 mins by car and very efficient.

By the looks of it French TV are hedging their bets on games that weekend and holding off which games they will show and when. There are two champions cup games and 4 challenge cup games to still be allocated to a particular day that weekend. All six games have a french side at home. BT Sport seem to have bagged their games

Unlikely to be on the Sunday as Challenge Cup games are usually Friday or Saturday. Champions Cup games are usually Sat or Sun.

BT do not appear to be showing any CC matches.

They didn't last season until the latter stages. At least when Sky were involved as well there was coverage.

Thanks all , I think we will take a chance on a Sunday, early evening flight back.

I am in Agen often as I have a place nearby. Would suggest flights to Toulouse/Bergerac and hire car or flight to Bordeaux and TGV to Agen.

Great little ground with friendly fans (the Bodega Ferrasse is great value for food/drink at the game) and Gueuleton du Marche is a great little wine bar.

Don't expect a big city with lots of bars.

I went to the Summer pre-season friendly in 2011. Enjoyed the time there (rivers & canals), but the game was tinged with sadness as it proved to be Tom Rees's final time on a pitch.

You did get around Peter!

Simon McIntyre was tight head and Dai chatted about how impressed he was with him after the game. I spent an hour looking after Launch after his clash of heads with one of our academy back row. Tom was captain that day.

I am off to Bordeaux for this weekend and happily the weather is forecast at 29º C Watching Bordeaux v Clermont sunday evening.

"Great little ground with friendly fans (the Bodega Ferrasse is great value for food/drink at the game) and Gueuleton du Marche is a great little wine bar. "

Be warned - Agen have gone the way of most French grounds with the buying token system. You buy a number of tokens for food and drink and can't get them partly refunded or exchanged. It is a total scam and I hope Bill Beaumont et al stop it being the norm for the world cup in 4 years.
