Great to see Simon Mac back in the squad!! Was really worried that his run of injuries might have proved terminal as far as his career was concerned.

If ever a team was selected for a "dead" rubber that's it. I sincerely hope they do well but at the same time pretty glad we cancelled our travel plans

That's not a bad side we've put out considering it's effectively a dead rubber.

Since it's a dead rubber, should Jimmy Gopperth be playing at all, let along starting? No point risking injury to a player we clearly need fit, far more than Michael le Bourgeois for example, no offence meant to him of course.

What does Owain James need to do to get a game? By all accounts tearing it up in A team and looked promising in the Prem cup. Odogwu too. I know he had his indiscretion but again he looked lively in the games he's played. Good chance for the likes of Bacon and Simonds though. Glad Wilson has got an opportunity as he's very much in the YY mould.

To think that Shields is not fit (and Willis T), we rest Jack, Thomas and Nemo and can still put out that back row is no mean feat.

Agreed, from what I have seen recently on the magic box in the corner of my front room, Le B should be starting and Gopps should be wrapped in cotton wool. But I can understand why the coaches might feel that JG needs game time.

Pleased to see Biyi Alo selected.

A real big unit who has played very well when he has been selected.

Is there any TV coverage of this game anywhere?
I'm not sure the EPC Rugby site is showing it.
