And apparently, according to the Tiggers site, it’s Dallaglio’s fault.....

Thank heaven someone saw what was going on, 'cos the ref certainly didn't. (Sm51)

TMO turned a blind eye too.

And so he should be.
Not the first time, is it?

Of all the away games I've been to I find the Tigers fans the most one eyed in the league.

Tom was nearly left one eyed after the finger poked in it, he shouldn't have retaliated, but I'm sure we'd all have hit some one trying to poke you in the eye...………………….

Yeah that @#$%& Rowlands, headbutting poor Youngs' fist to try to get him cited...

I wouldn't. But then I'm a lover not a fighter smiling smiley

Nathan Hughes was pinned down by the throat by I can't remember who, he retaliated with a punch and was cited and banned for it. The guy pinning him down wasn't cited.

I didn't defend Nathan at the time. Retaliation is not an excuse. In fact I think I criticised him for the safety of my keyboard! Also didn't waste energy worrying about whether the other guy should or shouldn't be cited. You just can't go round punching people on the rugby field anymore.

So Rowlands was cited then? Hmmmm.....

He’s well past it now, too slow, inaccurate line out and a liability because his frustration spills over, giving away penalties, coward of the week for me

Cov Wasp how does it make him a coward???

Punch wasn't that good either :-)

Yep, about as straight as one of his lineout throws.

So many times Young has 'Bent the rules' and finally but rather belatedly, he gets his just reward. I hope he is banned for a long time. Cheating is cheating and must be punished.

I have never understood why the refs ignore certain teams' cheating and pick on the smallest infarctions from other teams. Tigers, Sarries, Quins are great exponents of pushing the boundaries between fair play and cheating (On the field of play), and getting away with it.

Salesi Ma’afu got a one week ban for punching Tom Youngs in the 2014 semi final. It should perhaps have been more but mitigated by both the quality of the punch and a sense that perhaps Young’s deserved it!

Dan Coles got away with 3 incidents in that game, the tmo managed to make the ref look at another player instead on one occasion and then just decided not to bother looking at the other 2 (holding on to Willis with ball 5 metres away and pulling TT to ground by his hair).
Not just this game but many others I have watched on tv lately I feel the tmo is a pointless expense now, they should ditch this and give the saved revenue back to the championship sides maybe?

Bedlington Lad 18 February, 2020 14:51
As a neutral I watched and wondered why the TMO didn't draw the refs attention to a clear punch. I've just called out the Tigs supporters on their board for blaming the T.V. & not their player(Sm163)

Cheers BD! Hope you don’t get banned!
