I recall a game where Greening was actually taking the place kicks. Can't remember who against though

Sale at Heywood Road in the playoffs in 2002.

I was at that game at Heywood Road in 2002. Josh Lewsey played 10, so Dome took the kicks. When Matt Leek came on in the 2nd half, he expected to take over the place kicking, but Dome wouldn’t give up the tee. Leek had a right @#$%& to Skipper Ian Jones, who just shrugged. Was also good to see Martin Offiah sign off with a few tries.

A lot of Wasps support at both those games all from Adams Park.
and.. In the last WC Schalk Brits started in one game at No 8 and then went to hooker. I thought how odd must have been a first.. But Joe Ward did in 12 years before.

I can remember Phil Greening playing at 7 and kicking in one game in the season of C**** A**** when we had a horrendous injury list.

Trying to work out what "the season of C**** A****" means!

I always thought a couple of players outta their depth with Wasps were...
Jon Ions & Richard Poole-Jones.. (And the latter won 1 England cap 0-76 to Australia.)

Oh yeah and Lee Smith...

Just found this thread..

Have just finished watching 2 Wasps games from 2017-18 season on BT. Let's hope they continue to show 2 Wasps games each week.

Harlequins 22 v Wasps 44
Sale 26 v Wasps 23

Both good games and reminded me how dangerous we were in those days - soon to be repeated I hope. It was interesting to hear the commentators say Wasps are at their most dangerous in their own half!
