Probably our strongest 23

Fantastic starting XV and an impressive bench. I would of thought West would start but apart from that nothing I would change with all considered.

Unreal. Sack the management. Bloke scores a hat trick, gets MOTM and they drop him. What is going on? On a serious note good side and great to see the Willis brothers together. COYW

Great side and great bench. A few close run starting choices Gaskell v Rowlands, T Willis v Young, Gopperth v Mills, but they are all on the bench and makes little difference.

What a warrior Goops is - 37 years old and three games in 8 days!

Just hoping we hit our straps from the off and don't force it.

A lot of big names missing from the Bristol 23.

Its almost certainly down to rotation. Plus he played a very physical full 80 a couple of days a go. Im sure hell start at least one of the the next two fixtures which will need healthy bodies (the Euro break will come in handy).

Yeap, 2nds for us. I think we are now targeting Challenge Cup with top 5 confirmed (top 6 was the pre-season aim)

Unless Bath can win away at both Sale and Sarries, Bris will be safe in top 4 if they beat Leicester and London Irish. So a betting person would say Bris are fairly safe for top 4 and, by resting most top players this weekend, most of their players have a rest and chance for proper training before the Euro QF in 7 days time. So the big Waps v Bris match can wait till the Prem final in a few weeks!!

Wow ! ..... about as good as it gets smiling smiley

Should be a great game - 5 points needed as we really need to seal 4th before the Achilles heel of a last game.

Thoroughly looking forward to this

A done deal as far as the bookies are concerned:

Wasps 1/12
Bristol 7/1
Draw 40/1

Wasps -18 points handicap: 10/11

If my maths is correct Bath need to win all remaining games and we need only two 5 point wins from 3 to secure top 4 ...... ?

Correct.

However, 4th place will mean a trip to Sandy Park, and 3rd place most likely away to Sale.

If we can win all 3 (not impossible as Exeter will likely have secured top spot by the time we play them and may still be involved in the ECC) AND Sale fail to win all three of theirs, 2nd place and a home semi is possible.

But a lot of 'ifs' in that, so just take it one game at a time.

Its a great position to be in .... I've just taken a 9/1 bet for Wasps to win this season. A knockout game against Exeter (or anyone) is doable especially throwing Euro games into the mix.

Given where we were at Christmas followed by the Covid catastrophe, all I can say is hats off to everyone at the club - Im so grateful rugby is back on the agenda and the performances under Blackett and Co (including Costello) have been so incredible and entertaining.

With the academy players coming through so well and the style of play, I feel like weve rediscovered the clubs soul. Everything from here on in is a bonus (the play offs would be nice though (Sm100)).

Bumped into Jacob in a shop yesterday and he was great to talk to. Clearly buzzing from the Tigers game. Said his try was right off the training ground. All the boys excited for Sunday. A lot taller than he looks too!

Very excited about this one... only downside, lunchtime kickoff and Im at my Dads and hes a 12.30 at the latest lunch man... (89 so hes allowed to be fussy!) so will have to get lunch on the table and watch. COYW
So good to have the full on passion back at the club.
