O/T Here Comes Everybody: The Story of the Pogues

Just come across this title. Has anyone read it and is it worth buying?

My best memory of a Pogues gig - Glastonbury 1986, Friday evening.
The crowd are drunk and throwing all sorts on stage; mud, blankets, beer.
Spider Stacey's getting fed up and asking for calm.
Shane suggests the opposite!
Pandemonium breaks loose.

Slightly O/T from your O/T thread, I went to Glastonbury the year before that and witnessed quite possibly the worst line up in the history of this festival and I dare anyone to disagree

I remember seeing the Pogues something like 1986 or so. Shane was swigging whiskey from a bottle and collapsed. Spider took over seamlessly - brilliant! All those other lads (and Kate) are top performers too!

Donít want to be a topper but..... saw them at Clarendon Hammersmith in 84. They were very raw with lots of drinks tray bashing on heads. They really could play though and just became more polished as the years went on. Great band.

Reading University Students Union. The rugby team were in the mosh pit. Say no more.

The one and only time I went to university!
