That is pretty late given how long they've known who will be in the prem. Hoping for the old Double Header to be back on - great day out with non Irish supporting mates. The win against Wasps in 2008 was a great day.

Remember how the win in 2017, when newly promoted, had us all in raptures for the coming season?

I'm pretty sure that one of our friends who is a Twickers Steward checked the events diary and there was no rugby booking for the first weekend of the season (which is 19/20th October), so - very doubtful there would be a double header - it's the same w/end as the RWC 1/4 finals.

Last RWC, the double-header was pushed back to November I recall.

Presumably the fixture setters will do their normal trick of easing the promoted side gently into the Premiership by making sure that their first 6 fixtures are against the top six sides from last season, which is pretty much what happened last time...

Seems that's the way it has been for a long time that the premoted side get the top teams first, but to be fair there are no easy games in this league
