Potentially big problem

Just spotted this [www.bbc.co.uk] tucked away on BBC Sport from a few days ago. It hadn't crossed my mind to have to worry about this on top of everything else, but I guess literally everything is affected. Better watch this space...

Most of work still to be completed involves interior fixtures and fittings. But the site also includes the construction of a number of residential and commercial buildings with more than 400 people working on it at its peak.

Interior fixtures and fittings won't take long - it's not like rugby will start up again one Day One of everything being back to normal. Construction can get going a lot quicker. Also residential and commercial buildings not being finished won't affect us getting going, surely?

The problem is they need to hold a couple of "test events" after the stadium is completed before it can be officially signed off for use.

It is the test events that will delay the build as you need certain parts of the stadium weighted down gradually, then the stress test calculations, the insurer's have to have everything checked under full kinetic load with escape strategys live tested. This caused considerable delays with Wembley and Tottenham Hotspur's ground completions
