Referee for Wednesday

We’ve drawn the short straw and have Ian Tempest as the referee for our match against Exeter on Wednesday. We may as well take a yellow card and a penalty try straight from the kick off...

Even though we will be playing Exeter’s second team, the identity of the ref is likely to be of limited relevance to the eventual outcome...

I think we should send the team with as many academy players as possible. Same result. Will give them experience of getting no 50/50 decisions!!!
Have we ever won a game Tempest has refereed? I remember him sending David Paice off when he became frustrated with his decisions..

How tempest is still on the elite ref list i really don't know. He ruins every game with pointless technical penalties and misses all the foul play.(Sm63)

Dec K said we're playing our strongest available team in the last two fixtures

The problem is that the games are 4 days apart. So even if we put out our best available team against Exeter, having had the relative luxury of a couple of weeks off, our “best available” team against Bristol is likely to be populated with a fair few youngsters.

Exeter will be weaker than usual after their cup game, but still strong. Bristol will almost certainly need a bonus point win against us to ensure a play-off spot and will be hoping Exeter beat Wasps on Sunday as insurance. The Bristol team will be their best available and that is probably better than what will be our best available. Not holding out much hope for a win in either game, but please, no more injuries.(Sm63)

So with that in mind and the fact that both Chiefs and Briz Who both are in playoffs AND European Finals, we should win easily As they will rest players for those big games.

Dec should not want the 11th place, or the team who would have gone down but for Sarries tag. Need to stay ahead of Tigers and win at least one game post Lockdown

Bristol in 5th at the moment and need to win both their games, so I shouldn't think it will be a weak team against us(Sm63)
