Pre season friendly in Perth

I have just come back from a weekend in Perth visiting some of the wife's family.
It is a lovely compact city with everything within walking distance.
The match is being played in North Inch park in the centre of town.
There is is Premier Inn and Mercure hotel in town along with loads of B&Bs and guesthouses
There's plenty of pubs in town and Wetherspoons is on the banks of the River Tay for a pre match breakfast, I can personally recommend The Foundry as a good pre match match rendezvous point
Perth has good train and bus links to Dundee and Edinburgh and is well worth the effort to visit
Unfortunately I can't make this weekend as I'll have just spent the 3 previous weekends away from home, and it's a 8 hour 500 mile drive from the south coast

Saw the title and thought I probably couldn’t be arsed with a long flight

A little O/T, but we did the new Qantas direct flight from Heathrow to Perth (Aus) in April, and it was pretty good. We were in Premium Economy, but it was comfortable, and didn't feel too long.

Also O/T. Am going to Perth, Oz in November for nephew's wedding. Just researching flights now. Think it's going to be two flights and cattle class, unfortunately.

If anyone fancies some traditional Scottish takeaway food
Holdgate Fish Bar in South St does a great fish supper along with all the other traditional pudding suppers
The wife swears that Murray's bakery also in South St do the best Bridies and Butterys
