Amongst the news of updates to the FG Village they also mention:

"Moreover, stadium announcer Pete Nuttall completes the list of new matchday additions. Pete, who lives in Milton Keynes, has over 20 years’ experience in stadium announcing and was on the mic for Saints’ historic Premiership Rugby Cup Final triumph back in March. In his time he has also called the Premiership Rugby Final at Twickenham and other major sporting events, including the 2015 Rugby World Cup and London 2012 Summer Olympic Games. "

“We also knew how important it was to bring aboard a new matchday announcer after Geoff Allen’s retirement last season. Geoff will undoubtedly be a very hard act to follow, but we believe Pete has the qualities to do a great job. Pete will maintain the traditional style of match calling Franklin’s Gardens has become accustomed to and I encourage everyone to give him a warm welcome."

I don't know the gentleman in question and don't recall him on the mike for the cup final but whilst acknowledging that we can't replace Geoff Allen, if Pete gets anywhere close to Geoff's understated, conversational and witty presentation style he will become as popular as Geoff was - the best of luck to him.

Good Luck to the chap with a very hard act to follow. Hopefully he will have absorbed what NRFC is all about, what we do and what we do not.

Tomorrow night we may find out the cut of his jib !

Welcome Pete. Only one word of advice, don't shout please, we can hear you

Good luck indeed Pete.

I wonder what the chances of inviting Geoff back for the Remembrance Day speech is? Nothing against Pete, but Geoff really brought something special to that speech, other than simply the reading.

I think if we ended up with a London Irish type person on the mic it would be the end of my visits to FG. I noticed the England game in Newcastle did the whole "lets make some noise".. as you can tell I really hate it, no need for it

He did OK. Made his announcements without trying to hype things up or try whip up a fenzy. I think that he is going to do just fine.

Why did he keep telling us that Saints won the 2018 Sevens tournament which as far as I remember was won by Sarries.
