Well done to Ethan Grayson, and all of the other boys, for being selected for the England under 18s development squad.
It is interesting to see which clubs the boys come from, most (7) from Tigers, 6 of which are forwards including a Jack Rowntree (surely it cant be a coincidence).
The Tigers historically had a very good academy but in recent years seem to have lost their way, is this a resurgence?
Saints have produced some very good youngsters, quite a few who have made it to the 1st XV in the last couple of years, but we only have 1 in the squad, along with Wuss and Irish, is this a sign of the times or just a glitch?
Its not surprising that Glous have 5 in the squad as they also have always produced a lot of good youngsters

Hard to say. You cant look at any one year and make a judgement. You need to look at the trends over time.

Currently we have a large bunch of players coming through that all went through age grades together and that is unusual. We might see less for a year or two as the next bunch develop.

The Tigers academy seems back on the rails again now, won the U18 competition for the last 2 years undefeated, also the number of academy products appearing for the first team is increasing again.
