No Owen Franks for 3 to 4 weeks
George Furbank out
Courtney a grade 1 hamstring tear

Harry Mallinder (knee), Alex Mitchell (knee), Henry Taylor (thumb), James Fish (head) and Reece Marshall (hamstring) are all out, while David Ribbans (back) and Ben Franks (elbow) are doubtful.

Grade one tear can be fairly short recovery time.

Whatís Owen Franks done to himself?

Furbs is a real miss these days! I'm just always a bit concerned with Tuala from a defensive point of view, especially against a team of Leinsters quality.

Going to be a massive ask with some of the names we have missing, although I thought that last week so who knows.

Anyone more knowledgable than me like to hazard a guess at the team?
Not sure how much rotation we'll see but I'd go:

15. Tuala
14. Collins
13. Proctor
12. Hutchinson
11. Naiyaravoro
10. Biggar
9. Reinach
8. Harrison
7. Ludlam
6. Wood/Gibson
5. Ratuniyarawa
4. Moon (Ribeye if fit)
3. Painter
2. Haywood
1. Van Wyk

Franks O has a broken thumb but would have been away for a wedding anyway

The injuries list is starting to look worrying long again

I suspect no longer than any other premiership side.

Maybe but that's of little consolation when we are playing Leinster two weeks running !

The article also covers the signing of Sam Matavesi as hooker cover

At least, when they return they should all be fresh rather than having been flogged.

A chance for rotation that worked well for us last season.

Owen Franks had his hand in a temporary cast on the way back from Treviso, so I assume he must have done it during the game.

Injuries are inevitable and we are certainly no worse off than other teams in the league, in fact weíre in a much better position than we have been at previous times in the past. None of us had any real expectations of success in Europe this season, we just wanted a reasonable showing and weíve already had that. So, from a champions cup perspective, Iím pretty happy even if we do struggle from here on in. If nothing else itís been great experience. If we can consolidate our premiership position in the new year, fired by the return of a few high calibration players from injury and look to have a good run to the end of the season we should be making the play-offs again, but this time with a stronger squad and some real momentum. Which again, sounds pretty good to me! What Iím really pleased about is the honest and sensible approach under Boyd, trusting the squad and the playing style, allowing rotation and players to recover properly from injury rather than rushing the big names back. The players seem really happy with the state of things, so too the coaching and management staff and the crowds are flocking back to the gardens. The media seems to have only good things to say and we get to indulge in a little (not too unpleasant) gloating over the parlous state of our nearest and dearest neighbours (both Tigers and increasingly Wasps too).

Tigers losing Holmes, Bath - Ewels and Mercer. All key players for them, and out for several weeks. Presumably Biggar ok?

No reason for Dan not to play, according to Boydy!! Will be good to see a good tussle with Sexton, which I would back Dan to come out on top of!
