The pattern is quite obvious. We grind away in the first half without the ball. Our superior defence, fitness and athleticism allows us to stretch the lead later in the game.
Set piece remains a disappointment. Flood attracts a lot of criticism. I don’t know if I am missing something which our coaches see in his game management. One area where I am definitely not missing something is his kicking. It is not on the same planet as that of Takulua and Hodgson. On that basis why on earth is he the first choice kicker.
The most yards every week must be made by Graham, Radwan, Wakakeoke and Stevenson.
Three of that four wouldn’t have been trusted last year.
I oscillate between thinking we are knackered next year and that we have a plan and will lose the older deadwood sign some quality and release the youth. I also feel like an idiot for criticising all these victories.
