Echo the sentiments. Let's hope the nation's relationship with the NHS doesn't change and people who can't hold their drink no longer think it acceptable to verbally/physically assault staff and what you rightly call the worried well don't go running to [...]

This is both alarming and, to my limited understanding, sensible. As the statement says, it could/should help the survival of the club. Separate issue but the 57 old at the RFU really need to get a grip. The amount of money that passes through their [...]

Tigers have stated that their match day losses are £300-£400k. This must be at the top end for prem rugby?

Great performance against Bedford on Friday. I suspect it's the last rugby we'll see this season. The Govt are trying to delay peak corona virus for 10 -14 weeks. Hope that professional rugby can survive this.

Passing was excellent, I thought. Once we were six tries up, the lads tried a couple of ambitious moves which didn't come off, but you can't begrudge them trying some set moves. Joel looked good. Plenty of zip on the ball.

Great performance with loads of control. Bedford were up for it and Dan Temm was a particular nuisance but a strong defensive set from us before half time did for them. No comparison to the away fixture.

If one of the topics to emerge from this is whether or it we'll go straight back down this year, it'll depend, I guess, on what happens with the Saracens debacle. It's gone quiet but I thought there was talk of Saracens having to serve two years on the [...]

Sorry for my lack of emoji but I know they don't always work on here. I guess the point is there's been a little yo-yoing. Irish, for example. But the fact that six teams have gone down, two haven't returned. Welsh were promoted to get relegated to then [...]

The CP was an oasis back in the day when drinking anything other than scotch or exhibition took some doing. These days there's a plethora of decent pubs serving decent beer all over the region. Happy days. I moved to the area from Yorkshire in the mid [...]

You have to go back to the 2006-07 season to find Saints relegated. In the interim it's been us, Welsh, Irish, Worcester, Bristol and Leeds, sharing the honour. Welsh and Leeds - hmm Irish and Bristol - it appears have had to chuck a lot of money at [...]

Kibirige scores another two for a Wasps side containing several ex Falcons. It does feel like he was underplayed here. Given the talent we have coming through the ranks, it would be good if they had more opportunities to play. Looking ahead does the [...]

An A/B side put four tries on a decent looking Sale side today. I honestly thought Sale would win. Strength in depth

Agree, much as I don't begrudge the players a single penny, the model if clearly bust and doesn't work, for the reasons stated. Basic household finance = make sure the outgoings are covered by the income. Will the CVC input help or hinder this? Is it [...]

Why were we relegated? If the gossip is true, we reduced the players budget by a fifth although we still overspent, thereby relying on Semore's deep pockets (thanks). Was it our inability to score or our weakness in defence? Was it set piece [...]

I know some people are miffed re performances but we're top by 9. Personally, this is better than last time we played in this division.

It was fresh in the N Stand. The ref wasn't great, allowing numerous offsides and red zone infringements to go unpunished. We won. Look at the table.

I see from the BBC site that prem clubs (including us?) have received £350k from the Sarries fine. Interesting

Scrums. Stop the clock and restart it when the balls is out.. Kicks. 45 seconds absolute tops. When did you see an official not let a player take a kick because it had timed out? Subs. Why? Has a 23 man team improved the spectacle. If players canít last [...]

Not on the bench according to the BBC site - who do, on occasion, make errors.

£3 coin and 30pence piece? Change is sometimes unsettling but having transitioned (well, registered for 'the other place'), no problems to report. Happy to shift has mobile functionality seems better.
