Goodbye & Thanks

The rumour mill has been working overtime during the last few weeks, with whispers of players leaving, others retiring, new signings, and rumours of alien abductions… However in order to resolve all the confusion the club confirmed today that seven players have not been offered contracts for next season. Some, like Steve Bachop, we already knew about, with others we’d just heard a rumour. So here is the official list straight from the horse’s mouth (Phil Daly to you & me) - it’s time to say thank you and goodbye to:

    Shaun Woof
    Jon Benson
    J.P. O'Reilly
    Octavio Bartolucci
    Steve Bachop
    Eddie Jones
    Richard Le Bas
      For some of the seven the future is currently undecided, as not all of them have signed with new clubs yet, Phil Daly says:
        “I know only Bartolucci and Jones have found new clubs. Bart has gone to Agen whilst Eddie is going to be player/coach of Dunstablians down in Bedfordshire.”
          We may have criticised, moaned and whinged from time to time… Don’t deny it - you know we did, but I hope all the above players know we really did appreciate their efforts, and that we wish them all the best for the future.
