"Home grown"1st 15

I have been thinking the quality of the players that Warriors Academy and procduced and which of them are up to being a starting 15... I have included some old boys too...
1. Matt Mullan
2. Dylan Hartley
3. Callum Black
4. Graham Kitchener
5. Richard Blaze
6. Tom Wood
7. Jake Abbott
8. Luke Narraway (Not sure he counts as I don't think he was in the Academy so Matt Kvesic could fill in somewhere in the back row)
9. Jonny Arr
10. Joe Carlisle
11. Mike Penn
12. Alex Grove
13. Andy Short
14. Miles Benjamin
15. Chris Pennell
Just the names I came up with off the top of my head. 4 England players in there... 1 Scotland player and 3 Saxons too. Not bad I think... Better that some outside Worcester appriciate I would guess..

Coventry is 3 times the size of Worcester with thriving junior clubs developing hundreds of junior players every year,its only because of the total mis-management of Cov Rugby Club these players are available to Northampton, Leicester and Worcester. (Two Cov Kids were in the 2003 world cup winning team, to illustrate my point.)
Better revise your assertion that all these players are "home grown". You have done really well, but remember also your club was built by a benefactor's wealth.

And a very substantial amateur set up, 4 Wanderers sides, colts, ladies and mini juniors. 2 ex mini juniors are in the 15... Sorry Cov Rugby can't get their act together but Worcester Rugby is more than Cecil's money..

Yes Tom Wood did start playing rugby for Barker Butts, however without Worcester, who have given him the funding an oppurtunity to develop to the level he has? I applaud the rugby set up in Coventry for creating such fine players, and yes there have been numerous rugby stars from that area, however Tom Wood's success has been purely down to the worcester academy and the belief of his ability by the worcester and england staff.
