A Record-Breaking Start to Season Ticket Sales |
We’ve been absolutely blown away by your support. On the first day of season ticket sales, we made club history- selling more season tickets than ever before on a launch day. We’ve also had an incredible response to our new ticketing platform, Flicket.
Thank you for your support as we’ve helped everyone get up and running. It’s been brilliant to see not only our loyal fans returning, but also a huge number of brand-new season ticket holders joining the Warriors family. |

A massive thank you to the 520+ supporters who joined us at Sixways on Wednesday 22 May for our first major supporter event since the club’s return. The energy in the room was electric and it was brilliant to see so many loyal faces (and new ones too!) back where we belong.
CEO Stephen Vaughan and Head Coach Matt Everard shared big updates, took questions, and gave fans a real behind-the-scenes look at where Worcester Warriors are heading. If you missed it, here’s your full recap… |
| |
| Coaching and Future Aspirations |
| In May 2025, Matt Everard, formerly Leicester Tigers' defence coach, was appointed as the new head coach of Worcester Warriors. The club aims to build a sustainable and competitive team with aspirations to eventually return to the Premiership |

Championship Rugby Our entry into Tier 2 came with strict conditions. The RFU is monitoring us very closely and holding us to high standards, as they should. But rest assured, this club is committed to transparency, financial stability, and rebuilding the right way.
There’s no confirmed TV deal just yet, but the league has been rebranded as "The Champ" and the RFU is working to raise the profile of Tier 2 rugby. Watch this space |

Pre-Season Starts Soon Pre-season kicks off on 14 July, with fitness testing beginning a few days earlier on 11 July. One notable exception: Tim Anstee, our new signing, will be tying the knot that week before relocating to the UK from Australia with his wife. Huge congratulations, Tim!
We’ve also lined up two pre-season fixtures in September: Ampthill (away) AND a Premiership club – more on that soon!
The Championship season officially begins on 4 October and the full fixture list will be coming from the RFU very soon. |

Squad Building Head Coach Matt Everard has led an incredibly detailed recruitment process, reviewing over 650 players of interest before narrowing down to a select list. Every player signed has had multiple one-on-one meetings with Matt, and many didn’t make the cut.
Our final squad will include 36 players, with two signings still to come. Fraser Balmain will also be supporting with scrum coaching, and another player will assist with match analysis. This is part of our wider strategy of using players’ skills in dual roles across coaching and operations. We’re working to a tight, sensible budget, and players are here for the right reasons- to build something special
Matt also shared plans for team bonding in pre-season, including a family BBQ, camping trip, and plenty of hard work on the training pitch. His message? Make Sixways feel like home for both the players and the fans. |

Guess the Warrior: 1M+ Views in 7 Days! Our social media campaign to reveal new signings has exploded with over 1 million views on Instagram in just a week. Your excitement is incredible! Keep watching our channels for more signing reveals, behind-the-scenes content, and exciting updates.
We’ve also got a summer of fan events coming up – from the Sixways Summer Bash, to Behind-the-Scenes Training Days, and Kids’ Summer Rugby Camps. Keep an eye on our events page on our website, plus social media and emails for more updates on these. |

Future Warriors: Academy Plans Underway We’re working on setting up a Worcester Warriors U20 Academy, supporting Premiership clubs with their existing set ups. While we’ve lost our original player pathway territory under the new RFU system, we’re determined to support young talent in the region. The aim is to launch in the new year.
There are also plans to develop a women’s rugby programme at Sixways which is a crucial next step in growing the Warriors family. |
| |
Sixways: More Than Just a Rugby Ground Beyond rugby, we’re exploring opportunities to bring American football and other sports to Sixways, making it a thriving community hub. We’re also investing in Sixways as a year-round events and commercial venue, working closely with Wychavon District Council for our redevelopment plans, who’ve been incredibly supportive.
Worcester City FC holds primacy of tenure at Sixways under FA rules. But don’t worry, we have processes in place to avoid fixture clashes and both clubs are working in harmony to make Sixways a buzzing sports venue. |
| |
| Kit & Sponsors Incoming We’ll soon be announcing our new shirt sponsor and kit supplier, which we hope to be able to share more on in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned for those reveals! |
| |
| Premiership Dreams – The Right Way Yes, we’d love to see Worcester Warriors back in the Premiership. But only if, and when, we meet criteria and it makes financial sense. In the meantime, we’re looking to partner with a Premiership club to create a loan player system, much like Saracens do with Ampthill. Despite media reports, no deal has been finalised but conversations are ongoing. |
 |
| Get ready for our Sixways Summer Bash on Saturday 19th July Featuring live music from Essential 80s, West End performances of the Greatest Hits, a DJ, kids' entertainment including rugby rodeo and laser clay pigeon shooting, plus bars, street food from Cleopatra’s Kitchen and Pizza Heaven, and loads of good vibes in the Fanzone. We can’t guarantee sunshine, but we can guarantee a fantastic day out as we build up to the start of the season! |
| Early Bird tickets are still on offer at just £7.50 for juniors, and £15 for adults so grab them now before they go: |
