Bit windy today, most definitely a game of two halfs, against and with the wind! Portway was bleak and windswept but the Bees played some great rugby right from the off into the wind, making more clean breaks in the first period than in many full games. Some good cover tackling along with some poor decisions meant the Bees were limited to one first half score, a fine forwards try scored by the wannabe forward Sam after a prolonged period of pressure. Dunlop had responded with fine two forward tries to lead 10-5 at the break. Conversions were not to feature due to a missing crossbar, blown away?

Bees scored quickly after 1/2 time following fine kick by Will and chase by Skids. Bees looked set to move away to comfortable win, but all credit to Dunlop they stepped up their game and dominated possession for long periods, playing keep ball facing the strong wind. They were rewarded with a further try with 9 mins left to take a 15-10 lead. Bees responded positively with two further tries the second on the last play of the game to run out 20-15 winners. Skids collected both to complete a fine second-half hat-trick.

Dunlop to there credit played very well for long periods of the second half, they played the game in great spirit and were cedit to their club, we wish all the best for their Colts Cup game with Sale next week. They have beaten Barkers, Broadstreet and Stratford this season, I am sure they will do very well!

Performance: 8 out of 10, competed really well with the big Dunlop pack, the backs looked sharp with ball in hand, only negative was discipline, losing one forward for 10 mins. and being very lucky not to lose another. Better discipline and this could have been a 9!
