WRL Team of the Week: Wakefield Trinity Wildcats
Wakefield once again opened up the relegation situation following there impressive 18-0 away victory over neighbours Castleford Tigers. The result moves Wakefield off the bottom of the Super League table ahead of Catalan Dragons, who are exempt from relegation this season, so Wakefield are still currently in the relegation position despite there win. However, Wigan Warriors are now only 2 points ahead of Wakefield and next weekend will be a crucial one for both teams in there quests to stay in the top flight. Wigan travel to Headingley to face an out of form Leeds side , whilst Wakefield host Catalan Dragons. Victory for Wakefield together with a loss for Wigan would see Wakefield and Wigan both on the same number of league points.
Wakefield have new coach John Kear at the helm and no doubt his experience will show in the last few league matches. Wakefield were at there best in terms of defence against Castleford at the weekend and no doubt the Kear factor played dividends for the Wildcats.
