Winger Stuart Reardon is to become the second Great Britain international to leave Bradford at the end of the season after rejecting the offer of a new contract.

The 23-year-old, who has scored 38 tries in 78 appearances for the Odsal club, had loan spells at Featherstone Rovers and Salford City Reds earlier in his career but firmly established himself in the Bradford line-up this season.

Bulls chairman Chris Caisley insists the club made Reardon a good offer to stay with the club.

“We made Stuart an offer that was a substantial increase on his current deal with us but we have been aware for some time that another club (Warrington Wolves RLFC) has made him an offer which neither Stuart nor his agent felt he could turn down,” he said. “I fully understand Stuart’s decision and wish him well.”

Caisley added: “We are continuing our recruitment for the future and we shall be making positive announcements well before the start of next season.”The 23-year-old, who has scored 38 tries in 78 appearances for the Odsal club, had loan spells at Featherstone and Salford earlier in his career but firmly established himself in the Bradford line-up this season.
