Broadstreet RFC 32 Luctonians 6

By Alan Poole, Coventry Telegraph.

Broadstreet cruised to a commanding bonus-point verdict against a team who finished with only 12 men on the field after a spectacular collapse of discipline.

The Leominster outfit started well, taking the lead with a brace of Geraint Langdon penalties, but Street took control when they overturned a close-range scrum to snap up a Jack Gibbons try converted by Ben Palmer.

Pack power paid off again before half-time, another five-metre lineout giving Stewart Pearl the chance to drive over.

And after Palmer had landed a penalty early in the second half, the Coventry men ended any real doubt about the outcome when scrum-half Nick Thatcher claimed the pay-off from a spell of heavy pressure.
