Joe on the Saints victory over Wasps
Come on you Saints!
By The Mighty Young Joe
October 9 2002
Joe returns to tell you all about his big day out last Saturday, when he sat in the south stand and watched the Saints beat Wasps 34 - 20. Being Five he now thinks the score was Saints a gersquillion, Wasps zero! He also took some pictures he wants you to see!
Hiya Mates
What a brilliant match on Saturday. Wasps were gersmudgerated.
Before I talk about rugby I have to say fank you to some people. Firstly
to Jessica what does the bouncy castle for looking after me when Dad went
to get some beer. Then to the face painters who did my Bernie paw and stickman.
Then to all my Dad's mates what said hello, even that scary Lom. Hello also
to w-e-e-e-e-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-saint. And last of all fankyou for all the growed
ups who I sat near, I'm a bit of a fidget and they didn't mind at all.
I tooked my free ribena camera to the match and got some good pictures. I
got one of Dad but that would break your screens so you will have to make
do with the ones he got of me and one I took of the players. Because it was
only a free camera the quality isn't as good as the clever blokes with their
digimon cameras.
Here's my favourite picture of me and my mate Bernie!
Then there's me on the bouncy castle. It was nice that Dad could get a beer
whilst I bounced around. He has his needs and I have mine. Fanks again Jessica!!!
The face painters do such a good job. It was great to see so many people
getting stripes and stickmen and Bernie paws. I had to laugh at a bunch of
bigger boys who all had beards and moustaches done as well!
Last of all is my picture of Ben Cohen by the posts and the other players
further away. The other pictures were all too small acuzz Ribena cameras
don't come with zoom lenses.
Well back to my story of the day. It was really nice
because we met Uncle Jim Risky Business after we parked and then we met Strongie
of the lard. Northants top crime fighter jumped out of a car and threw some
cones on the pavement. An angry man came out of his house and shouted at
Strongie. He just said "it aint legal mate" and showed him his shiny police
badge. The silly man kept arguing with Strongie but lucky for him there was
a match on so Strongie didn't want to take him to jail acuzz he'd miss the
rugby!
I was right before when I said that you need to get there early to have a
nice day. I had time to play in the village and have an ice cream. Dad had
some beer and a fairytarian pasty and then we went and watched the match.
Ha ha Wasps you was beated by the super Saints. We smashed and bashed you,
we crashed and mashed you in fact we need a new word for it.....you were
Gersmashersmudgered! I liked the tackles and I liked the kicks and most of
all I liked the singing except some times in the South stand I was shouting
'come on you saints' all on my own. That's not good enough growed ups you
need to be more noisy so that the team knows that they are being good!
Well I'm off now because I need to rest my voice so it's better for the next
match!
Come on you Saints
Joe
