Oxford Saint has designed the following T-shirt logo
for the event.
Stockers has got the Jetsco multinational wheels in
motion and we have ordered large and extra large, printed on black T-shirts.
To keep costs down and to maximize the donation to the BHF these are value
weight.
To take part in the walk we are asking for a participation fee of £10
this covers the cost of the T-shirt and makes a donation to the BHF (Stockers
has arranged for Jetsco to pay part of the t-shirt price so that £5
per shirt is donated). Again, in order to reduce costs I will actually bring
the T-shirts with me to the event and will take money on the day. I know
it said this before but I have the following instructions please
Bring
a cheque for £10 for each t-shirt made payable to R.Lindsley.
I really don't want to be walking around with £300 in my pocket, especially
as after the walk I shall be quite thirsty!!!
Sian Haynes has been very helpful and I would like to thank her for that.
She is trying to organize some players for a photo shoot before the walk
and informs me that the car park will open at 9am so we won't have any trouble
getting in. I'd like us to meet at 10.30 on the back pitch car park. Look
for a red Honda Civic, a nervous Rich, the mighty young Joe and a 7 months
pregnant Bump Bump Baby Bump. Hopefully we will also have a BHF banner to
make us more obvious.
Please wrap up well for the walk and wear suitable footwear. The
forecast
is dry but the walk will still be damp and muddy. Walking boots would be
ideal, I'm wearing caterpillar trainers and intend to change them when we
get back to the cars, Joe will be in his wellies but I wouldn't recommend
welly boots for growed ups. A change of trousers may also be a good idea.
Please also bring something waterproof just in case.
My next point is very important and concerns safety. I will not be responsible
for anyone (apart from Joe) during the walk. Please please please take care
at all times, the last thing we need is any accidents. If you're not fit
to do the walk please don't attempt it. As I said I will not be liable for
person or property on this walk and you should all set out with this knowledge
in mind. I know that was a bit heavy but it needed saying.
I'm checking the route tomorrow and if it's too wet then we will use an urban
alternative.
So that's it the walk is on Saturday. I hope you all enjoy it and I hope
we make a big lump of dosh for the BHF. As with the T-shirt money please
don't bring your sponsor money with you, you can post me a cheque at a later
date. I would like to know an estimated total though so please bring a rough
figure of your sponsor money with you.
Any further questions please e-mail me on:

or leave a message on the message board.
The important points again:
Meet at 10.30 am in the Saints back pitch car park.
Bring a cheque for £10 per person.
Work out how much money you will raise.
Dress appropriately and walk safely!
