Taking time off from his festive fun and frolics (oh I wish) Wellsaint brings you seasonal tidings and news of some excellent money making opportunities. Probably. Too little time, too much work (too many parties?.........I wish!!)

Let's start at Edge Hall Road with:

Orrell v Saints

Saints face a potentially tricky trip to Orrell and rest some key players ahead of the crucial league clash against Gloucester on the 28th. I do not know that much about Orrell but I suggest Saints should win this and reasonably comfortably. It is hard to assess what the bookie's handicap could be but I would be wary of giving away more than a 15 to 20 head start.

Leicester v Worcester

Leicester easily. Or so you would think. Leicester have not always won that convincingly against minor opposition in the cup, and Worcester are hot on the heels of Rotherham at the top of Division One. A Leicester win, but there could be a betting angle in backing Worcester with the start, especially if in excess of 25 points.

Wasps v Bath LIVE ON BBC1 GRANDSTAND

Wasps home record is pretty good this season and I think that Bath will find this match tough. Wasps should win by 8 points or more.

Gloucester v Exeter

Are the wheels coming off the Kingsholm bandwagon? Not until the 28th, they're not. Gloucester to win comfortably, probably in excess of 30 points.

Quins v Leeds

Knockout cup? Shouldn't Quins be playing Leicester?? Quins to win by six points.

Bristol v Rotherham

Time to see how Rotherham measure up to the standard of the Premiership. Well the standard of Bristol, actually. Bristol to edge this but probably less than one score in it.

Newcastle v London Irish

The cup holders (leave it!) go to Kingston Park to face Newcastle. Newcastle to edge this, probably only two or three points in it.

Saracens v Sharks

Sarries should beat Sharks who are not firing on the road. Sarries by ten.
