On January 5th 2006, comeonyousaints.com received a message from Adam Brockett, Regional Events Organiser at the British Heart Foundation. This is what it said...
"Firstly may I say on behalf of the British Heart Foundation a very Happy New year to you all.
I would like to take this opportunity to pass on my sincere thanks to all of those people who contributed in some way to the SWH4 events of 2005. These include: all members of the COYSDC (I won't go into individual names as I'd be here forever, but you know who you are), Northampton RFC and the other Guinness Premiership clubs and supporters who lent their weight, The Northern Walkers, Belmont Primary School and Northamptonshire CCC. A big thanks also to Maggie Barwell for once again supporting last years' event as the SWH patron. If I have missed anyone out I can only apologise but do give yourselves a huge pat on the back anyway.
Whatever your contribution to SWH4 last year, be it bucket shaker, walker, quiz buff or other you have all made a real difference to the lives of those people suffering from Heart Disease. The BHF can only continue the work it does with the support of people like you.
The running total so far for SWH4 stands at £16184.22. We hope this total will reach the £20,000 mark so please get your money in ASAP if you are intending to do so and chase up those friends and family who also pledged their support. Every penny counts!!!!!!!
So once again a massive thank you to you all. Let's hope 2006 is a year of success, happiness and good health for us all.
Roll on SWH5!!!!
Kindest Regards
Adam Brockett
BHF Assistant Regional Events Organiser"
This is just fantastic news. Over the course of Thursday it emerged that further donations are still coming in and amounts pledged (but not yet received) would indeed take the fundraising over the £20,000 mark for SWH IV which means that, in the four years since its inception, Comeonyousaints.com's fundraising for the British Heart Foundation has topped £50,000. Unbelievable!
To everyone that has contributed in any way, large or small, THANK YOU!
