A Feast of Festive Fun at Sixways

This year, we’ve gone all-out to make the Warriors v Richmond game the destination for family fun and rugby excitement just 12 days before Christmas:

  • Santa & his sleigh — courtesy of Worcester Lions Club
  • Live reindeer in the EBC Fanzone from 12pm — (arrive early — they only hang about for two hours before they rest up for the big night!)
  • Meet & greet with Santa — perfect for kids and big kids too!
A fully decorated festive Fanzone with seasonal treats, surprises and warm holiday vibes

So if you want Santa, magic, and matchday memories

this fixture is the one to book.

Sixways Story So Far: Our Season in Review

This campaign marks a very special chapter for Worcester Warriors — our first since returning to professional rugbyfollowing an enforced absence after administration in 2022. A determined rebuild under new ownership has seen the club readmitted to the newly expanded Champ Rugby, the renamed and revitalised second tier of English rugby — and we’ve embraced every moment back on home turf.

After some stirring early wins — including a standout six-try display over Cornish Pirates and a 61-point blitz away at Cambridge — the Warriors have shown real attacking flair and character.

Warriors League Snapshot

  • Current League Position: 2nd in the Champ Rugby table

  • Record so far: 7 wins, 2 defeats from 9 league matches

  • League Points: 38 — just behind pace-setting Ealing Trailfinders

  • Form: Strong recent results with consistent contributions in attack and defence, keeping us firmly in the top tier of the race for playoff spots.

While the promotion landscape remains complex — with minimum standards and league restructuring the subject of wider debate — Worcester’s fans have every reason to be proud of the spirited rugby on display so far.

Richmond Rugby: The Challengers from Twickenham

Richmond Rugby return to Tier 2 this season after a unbeaten charge through National League 1 in 2024–25, earning promotion and a place in the expanded Champ Rugby competition. (champrugby.com)

Richmond League Snapshot

  • Current League Position: 12th

  • Record so far: 3 wins, 6 defeats from 9 league matches

  • League Points: 16. In 12th position

  • Form: Richmond have showcased real grit — picking up notable victories including a home win over Hartpury, but have also suffered big scores at the hands of some of the division’s stronger sides. (admin.ultimaterugby.com)

Their journey this season has been one of learning at the higher level — Richmond are dangerous when they click, and hungry to prove they belong in this competitive division ahead of the business end of the season.

EXPECTATIONS

On paper, this sees a top-flight Warriors outfit — brimming with confidence and attacking intent — take on a determined, fast-improving Richmond side eager to make their mark. Home advantage, current form and squad depth all point towards a Warrior performance, but Richmond’s pace and unpredictability could test us if we give them any daylight.

With heavy hitting Welsh coach Matt Everard leading the side and a clear identity developing at Sixways, expect domination at the breakdown, electric ball in hand and an atmosphere driven by our incredible supporters. (Wikipedia)

Worcester Warriors vs Richmond Rugby promises big hits, big tries and big memories — packed with family fun, festive joy and sporting spirit.
