Good luck for the reminader of the season and we may meet once more. I am also sure next season you will come back stronger. Putting together a squad from scratch, not matter who you sign, is always going to be tricky.
Garside played under Day, so Day knows his game and could try and exploit his weaknesses when he came on and didn’t get a chance to show those fast side strepping feet of his.
Worcester's scrum worked better than it did at GR in December. It might even be argued that Bedford possibly got away with couple in the early exchanges. It was only in the second half and particularly in the final 20 that Bedford scrum was truly on top.
I don't have a stopwatch, but I feel Worcester had better territory and better possession. The threat they posed was indicated by Bedford's penalty count that resulted in the warning from the referee. A yellow at that point would have changed the game. A stiff word from Day meant we avoided that peril.
The intercept try settled Bedford and possibly spooked Worcester. As at GR, Worcester were chasing the game and Bedford managed the game well.
Worcester are still in the running. Mathematically they can still be out of the top four but they would have to be very bad over three games and other results would have to go against them. That is unlikely so I expect Worcester to progress.
