Great Season

Would the Godington Road faithful have settled for third place back in September? More than likely and credit to everyone involved in providing so much entertainment this season..

We finshed six points ahead of Jersey Reds but, admittedly, a massive 30 behind promoted Lonodn Irish - there's the target for next season.

The final game agains saw some decent tries as we came out comfortable 38-13 winners over  Nottingham.

There were two pen tries as pressure mounted with Matt Worley getting a couple and  Ryan Hutler and Charlie Clare the others.

Definitely would have taken 3rd in September. Well done to all the players and coaching staff. Great season.

Losing to London Scottish by three with thirteen sick players some of which we were forced to play......but the boys were still going forward to the end.....

Excellent finishing position. Doncaster away was a bitter pill. Need to double them next season. Ed Coulson played in every backs position including scrum half. That is indicative of the season long unsettled backs through injury and international duty. Hope next year will bring more consistency.

Oops. Posted this in wrong thread. More relevant here I think.....

"At the start of the season I think most of would've taken 3rd after we lost so many of our top players from the previous season. Great to see Jordan O. come back - especially with Flanagans retirement. I can't remember use stealing so many opposition throws as Jordan did.

The two players who I think have really stepped up this season have been Ryan Hutler & James Lennon. I think Dicko has been a big influence on Lennon, he's been getting in his opposite numbers face at the scrum just like Dicko did.

We know Burns was playing regularly for Ealing and has signed for next year but what about the others? Howard Packman & George Edson haven't been appearing on team sheets Ive seen. Injuries or just not flavour of the month?

Haven't seen Tom Lindsay's name at Bristol either.

Booj seemed to have had a great start at Wasps but recently went AWOL. Injury?"
