Wet Weekend

We gave Dean Richards plenty to think about but in the end we came up short as Falcons were somewhat fortunate to win 11-6.

Their man good fortune was in having Toby Flood on the pitch to kick two penalties. He grabbed Dan Temm round the neck at a ruck which weas spotted by the  TMO  but the sanction was strangely non-existent.

The former England fly half then tackled Ed Coulson with his shoulder and, despite Ed needing a head injury asessment, there was once again no sanction. Nothing too deliberate from Flood - perhaps it's just that he's not as agile as he once was.

Conditions were very por but it was an entertaning game for the Sky cameras with Will Hooley getting our points through two pens, and John Hardie getting the games' only try.
