Good to see Wayne Barnes at Goldington Road  playing his part in an enjoyable and sometimes close encounter with Hartpury. A game of two halves with Blues deservedly shading it 28-23 and closing the gap on the handful of clubs seprated by just one bonus point win.

Pete Lydon marked his first start by scoring our first try  inside the first ten minutes courtesy of a break by Dean Adamson. That was followd by a score from Rich Lane and the boot of Hooley put us 20-17 up at half time.

Hartpury stayed in yocuh with tries from Akapusi Qera and Seb Nagle-Taylor and had the better of the territory after the break. Howeve,r the Blues defence is back on form and we scored again from James Lennon who came at No 9.

Still second bottom but level on points with Nottingham and 2020 is looking much better. Bring on Sarries next season .....

We are! At last!

Apparently recruitment hasn't seen those who should have performed, perform! Losing is a habit as is winning!!!

A win on a Sunday and we'll be saying 'what could have been', some games lost on fine margins too.
