Interesting encounter in prospect at Goldington Road between two of the improving sides in the Championship.
Doncaster beat Jersey 38-10 last time out and sit one place higher than Blues - something which will change if we can get five points.
We have Dan Temm back and he will be in a new look back row with Joe Atkinson and Alafoti Fa’osiliva.
Oli Curry moves into the second row with Alex Penny at tighthead.
In the backs Rich Lane has recovered from illness and will be at full-back and Grayson Hart at scrum-half.
Blues: 15 Rich Lane, 14 Ryan Hutler, 13 Oskar Hirskyj-Douglas, 12 Lewis Robling, 11 Matt Worley, 10 Sam Leeming, 9 Grayson Hart, 1 Sean McCarthy (Capt), 2 Robbie Smith, 3 Alex Penny, 4 Jordan Onojaife, 5 Oli Curry, 6 Dan Temm. 7 Joe Atkinson, 8 Alafoti Fa’osiliva
Reps: Jacob Fields, Joe Wrafter, Henry Paul, Will Carrick Smith, Devante Onojaife, Huw Worthington, Fraser Strachan, Ed Coulson
Great 1st half performance TBH I thought the game was over by half time, but that 4th try was probably our try of the season so far. Great win lads, always nice to beat Doncaster. COYB.
Great 5 pointer, though have to be honest, the opposition were poor, particularly in the first half. By the time they scored their try, they'd gone more than 2 hours without scoring a point (they lost 15-0 last week to Nottingham in the cup). Still, can only beat what's in front of you and we did it in impressive fashion.
Robbie Smith was my MoM, won at least one turnover, producing several crunching tackles, scored the fantastic maul try and don't think a single line-out went wrong all day.
I second that. Robbie Smith has really developed the last couple of months.
So too has Oskar Hirsky-Douglas. Their recent form has been one of the reasons Blues have picked it up since the Boxing Day embarrassment.
